Jaguar’s electric crossover, the I-Pace?no, it’s not the one named the E-Pace, which would make far more sense but is instead the company’s smallest, conventionally powered CUV?is almost ready to step into the spotlight.
Ahead of a debut confirmed for March 1 ahead of the Geneva Motor Show, the company has released photos of the vehicle during winter testing as well as a couple of additional details to add to the pile of information we gleaned during our ride in a prototype in December.

The primary new tidbit is the 400-hp, all-wheel-drive I-Pace’s ability to refill its 90-kWh battery pack from zero to 80 percent in 45 minutes when tethered to a 100-kW DC fast-charging station. That’s an impressive stat, although the availability of such chargers remains somewhat limited in the United States outside of Tesla’s proprietary Supercharger network. However, both private charging companies and automakers?see Volkswagen’s Electrify America plan?intend to quickly ramp up availability of DC fast-charging.
