Friday Photo – Infiniti Q30 rolls out in Sunderland
ESM is rejoicing at the fact the roads of the North East might now be populated with a new car – the locally built Infiniti Q30.
You can blame EngageSportMode’s friend Dave for a lot of things. Like breaking the arm of the ESM editor when they were kids. More recently, you can hold him responsible for pointing out Nissans on the company’s employee leasing scheme. The problem is, once you’ve noticed one, you can’t stop noticing them. So when you live close to a plant that employs almost 7,000 people, every commute in the region involves the now subconscious spotting of Nissan-leased Juke, Note, Leaf and Qashqai models. We can also thank him, in part, for the new Infiniti Q30 production starting up at the Sunderland factory. Dave spent a year in Japan helping design the production line to then install it over here. So he has, at least, contributed to adding a new model to the omnipresent Nissan armada on the roads of the North East.
Although we jest, another model for the NMMUK factory is hugely important for the economy of the region. ESM looks forward to subliminally spotting them in the near future…
