1969 Lamborghini Miura S Sold by RM Sotheby’s
Imagine if someone told you a pristine Lamborghini was forgotten in a barn. Life happens and priorities change, but this story has a happy ending. After sitting since 2015, this 1969 Lamborghini Miura S was sold by RM Sotheby’s last weekend in London.
Hans Peter Weber lived in Freiburg, and he purchased this car in 1974 from its original owner. The Miura S was introduced in 1968 with an upgraded interior, bigger brakes, and more power from larger cams. Coincidentally, it was also the first Lamborghini to feature Weber carburetors.
Mr. Weber loved the car and maintained it until his passing in 2015. His brother Karl owns a Porsche 911 and shared his brother’s love of cars and racing. He decided to store the car until the family until a decision could be made.

If you are wondering what an unrestored, low mileage Lamborghini Miura S is worth, the car’s 3rd owner paid the equivalent of $1,605,662. This car has been driven, and it undoubtedly needs tires and a tune-up. This record price will push museum-quality Miuras (like Mr. Leno’s below) into the stratosphere, so you might want to consider one as a solid investment.
