Last year Chevrolet took a page out of Saturn’s book with several Red Line concepts for the SEMA show, and this year it has turned to the color blue for a similar purpose. Chevy will show up in Las Vegas in two weeks with slightly modded versions of the Malibu and the Cruze, both called Blue Line concepts and both meant to highlight available Chevy accessories and performance parts.
A Malibu 2.0T sedan and a Cruze RS hatchback both share blue-tinted windows, Genesis White exterior paint, and 18-inch wheels finished in Slate Blue Metallic. The concepts won’t make production, but many of the accessories shown are offered for purchase, if this sort of look floats your boat.

The Malibu Blue Line also comes with a ground-effects kit, a black grille insert, black Chevy badges, a rear spoiler, tinted headlights and taillight lenses, and some interior bits including floor liners, illuminated doorsills, and sport pedals. The only performance upgrades are a suspension-lowering kit that drops the ride height by 0.4 inch and a performance brake kit.
The Cruze Blue Line, based on the RS hatchback model, is a similar story, with visual tweaks consisting of graphite accents for the interior, a sport pedal kit, and a chrome grille insert. It also has a suspension lowered by 0.4 inch, a brake kit with larger rotors and new calipers, an air intake kit, and a performance exhaust.
