So for 2018, Ford has announced that the 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V-8 in its Super Duty trucks will offer 935 lb-ft of torque, a 10 lb-ft boost over last year?s version of the engine. And, just for fun, Ford is turning loose a two-wheel-drive version of the mighty F-450. Horsepower also increases; the Power Stroke sees a 10-hp upgrade for ?18 and now punches out an even 450 ponies.
The result of all this madness" Ford has reclaimed the best-in-class torque figure from Ram, and the new F-450 4×2 will tow up to 34,000 pounds with a gooseneck trailer. That?s 1500 pounds more than last year?s F-450.
