There is a massive gap in the Infiniti lineup between the base QX80 and the QX80 Limited, both in price and features. The QX80 starts at $64,845, and the Limited starts at $90,445. Filling that gap are a multitude of available packages and, starting last year, a Signature Edition, which Infiniti has just announced is returning as a 2017 model.
The most expensive and most comprehensive package you can add to the QX80 is the $5200 Deluxe Technology package. But $5200 doesn?t really cover it; purchasing this package requires that you also select the $2400 Theater package, the $2800 Tire and Wheel package, and the $2900 Driver Assistance package. So in reality, it?s more of a $13,300 choice, bringing the total price to $78,145. The Signature Edition slots in just under this as a value play with a couple of exclusive features.
The Signature Edition offers visual treats in the form of darkened 22-inch forged aluminum-alloy wheels with 275/50R-22 all-season performance tires, chrome exterior mirror caps, and a high-contrast Saddle Tan leather interior. Neither the Saddle Tan color or the dark wheels are offered in other trims or packages. The Signature also has many of the safety features found in the $2900 Driver Assistance package, including adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot warning, automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning, blind-spot intervention, and lane-departure warning and prevention.
