Pitch Dark: Limited Edition Maserati Ghibli Nerissimo
The Maserati Ghibli Nerissimo isn?t just black, it?s extremely black. Limited to a total of 450 units that will be available in the United States and Canada only, the Ghibli Nerissimo has 20-inch wheels, door handles, exterior trim, and grille all done up in the light-absorbing color, although the brake calipers are painted red.
The limited-edition trim will be offered on the standard 345-hp Ghibli and the 404-hp Ghibli S and Ghibli S Q4. All Nerissimos come with the $3400 Sport package, which includes a sport steering wheel, adaptive dampers, shift paddles, 12-way power front seats, a blind-spot monitor, front and rear parking sensors, a remote starting system, and (on S models) an upgraded Harman/Kardon audio system; the Nerissimo is the only way to get a non-S Ghibli with the Sport package.
Like its exterior, the Nerissimo’s interior is a shrine to darkness. Black leather covers the heavily bolstered seats, dashboard, and armrests, although red stitching helps alleviate some of the monotony. AÂ center console plaque denotes each Nerissimo?s place in the 450-unit production run.
