Nissan Rogue Trail Warrior Makes Tracks for New York
In most of the country, winter is a fast-fading memory, but Nissan evidently felt it?s not too late to bust out a Rogue that crawls along on snow tracks. The Nissan Rogue Trail Warrior makes its debut this week at the New York auto show.
Supplied by American Track Truck, the four-foot-long tracks can be used in sand as well as snow?although presumably not on the suburban byways that are the standard Rogue’s natural habitat. Adding the tracks required mods to the suspension and wheel wells, but this Rogue rocks the same 170-hp 2.5-liter four and continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) that makes the standard version so, um, fearsome. The Trail Warrior also dons a camo wrap, yellow-tinted glass and headlight lenses, a Warn winch, fender flares, and an ARB gear basket.
