Nissan Rogue Star Wars: Rogue One Special Edition Comes with Collectible Death Trooper Helmet!
Cars celebrating movies are nothing new?look no further than the Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Edition?but the 2017 Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition package is among those rare examples where the car itself doesn?t appear anywhere in the film it commemorates. Where the Rogue has appeared, at least recently, is in joint TV commercials hawking both the new Star Wars: Rogue One movie and the Nissan Rogue, which uses its safety systems to navigate a galactic war zone.
That co-commercial seems to be the premise on which Nissan has based the limited-production Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition package. That, and the compact crossover?s name is shared with the upcoming Star Wars movie.
However thin the Rogue?s big-screen tie-in, the Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition package?which is such a long name that we?ll shorten it to ROSWLEP?is to our knowledge the first automobile specifically targeting Star Wars fans. For $1990, the kit can be added to a front- or all-wheel-drive Rogue SV with the optional Sun and Sound package, and it brings black exterior trim, black roof rails, and a Star Wars logo clear rear bumper protector. It also includes Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance logos for the D-pillar, and Rogue One badges on the front doors. The interior is gussied up by backlit Star Wars doorsill plates, Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire logos in the cupholders, and carpeted logo door mats.
