New Baby Benz: Mercedes A-class Sedan Spotted Winter Testing in the U.S.
Mercedes-Benz has just revealed its new A-class compact hatchback for the European market, but it isn’t coming to the United States (Canada will be getting it, though). Luckily, an eagle-eyed Twitter user sent us these photos of the upcoming baby Benz that is slated to come to the States: the A-class sedan, which is looking more and more production-ready as it prepares for its U.S. debut later this year.

Don’t think of this model as a direct replacement for the cheapest Benz currently sold here, the CLA-class, as that’s a sort of “four-door coupe” variant of the outgoing A-class with a more rakish roofline. It’s somewhat hard to tell through the camouflage, but this A-class sedan will have a more upright greenhouse and, possibly, a cheaper price than the current CLA’s $33,695 starting cost. A new CLA will follow the A-class sedan by a few months with slightly swoopier looks.
