Following in the footsteps of Uber?s First Order Stormtrooper Dodge Chargers, the 1:1 scale Hot Wheels creations, and Nissan?s myriad connections of its coincidentally named Rogue CUV to last year?s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the small Benzes add a bit of old-school Lucasian panache in the form of accessories and trim. Which is just how Jawas would spiff up an outdated R5 astromech droid for quick sale.
Available in either Stormtroopertastic Calcite White or Vaderrific Night Black, the CLA180s both feature black interiors. Night Black cars get red stitching and seatbelts to recall Anakin Skywalker?s post-heel-turn lightsaber, while the white automobiles feature a ’70s-esque racing stripe down the center of the seat and white stitching, reminding us that it’s been 40 years since A New Hope.
Accessories include hyperspace-look, logo-emblazoned floor mats; a sunshade featuring Chewie, Luke, Ben, and Han in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon; puddle lamps that project the Star Wars logo onto the ground, an R2-D2 noisemaker, and a Star Wars 40th Anniversary license plate.
