McLaren Releases Roofless P1 EV!
McLaren has unveiled a new version of its iconic P1 supercar, a topless version with a battery-powered electric drivetrain. While this latest version of the P1 will be available in greater numbers than the previous model, you probably still won’t be able to drive one?because you’re too big.
The new P1 is a kid-sized ride-on vehicle, although it has some cool, real-McLaren features, including dihedral doors and, naturally, a central driving position. The Volcano Yellow livery is contrasted by black wheels. Top speed is slightly reduced from the full-size model?s 217 mph: It’s 3 mph. But the price is commensurately lower as well, down from $1.5 million to a much more affordable ?375 (about $425). It will be available at the end of October from McLaren dealers and select toy stores.
