Usually when ?F1′ and ?growing? are in the same sentence, we are referring to either the number of races on the calendar, the new regulations or driver?s egos. This time however, we are talking about the F1 audience, and the 2018 figures are out. Turns out quite a lot of us enjoy this F1 thing?

An average of 200,000 spectators attended an F1 race weekend, with 80,000 on race day ? that?s an overall increase of 7.83% compared to 2017
4 million people attended at least one race weekend in 2018
The average race day attendance in F1 was higher than the Champions League, NFL and even the Football World Cup, with only 78,011 at the final in Moscow

Global cumulative audience of 1.758billion
Unique viewers have increased by 10% compared to 2017, reaching a total of 490.2million
The top 3 markets for TV reach are: 1)Brazil = 115.2million 2)China = 68million 3)USA = 34.2million
Monaco had the highest cumulative TV audience of the season, reaching 110million viewers, which is a 10% increase from 2017
Bahrain, France, Austria, Great Britain, Italy and Mexico had more than 90million viewers
