If the rear-wheel-drive AE86 is the Blake Griffin of Toyota Corollas, then its front-wheel-drive successor is the model’s Taylor Griffin. Less famous and talented than his brother, Taylor Griffin was enough of a ball player that he was drafted by the Phoenix Suns in 2009 (although he was eventually waived by the team). Much like Taylor, the sixth-generation Corolla simply gets overshadowed by its legendary predecessor (or sibling). It shouldn’t, and this 1989 Corolla GT-S for sale on eBay is proof.

Being a GT-S model, this Japanese two-door comes with Toyota’s high-revving, twin-cam 4A-GE engine?the same engine found in the famous AE86 GT-S of the mid-1980s and the first-generation MR2.
