At our annual Lightning Lap track test, numbers are everything. At the top of the pyramid sit the lap times laid down by each year?s crop of performance cars at Virginia International Raceway, but those aren?t the only figures we track (pun intended). We count everything, from how many replacement tires manufacturers send for the week to the highest speeds achieved at different points on the track. For Lightning Lap 2017, our typical gathering of facts and figures was disrupted?as was the entire event?by biblical rainfall. But it wasn?t washed away. Presenting Lightning Lap 11, by the numbers:
