Aluminum-Body 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty Adds at Least $425 to Base Price
The all-new 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty is proof that being big isn’t an excuse for being overweight. Ford?s heavy-duty pickup is still no featherweight, but thanks to its aluminum body, the big F-350 is the poster child for effective dieting.
Unsurprisingly, prices for the new truck are up across the board?just as they are for the 2017 Ford F-250. On the low end, the base-level F-350 Super Duty XL regular-cab truck incurs a small premium ($425), while on the high end, the top-of-the-line F-350 Super Duty Platinum models see prices rise by more than $5000.
All F-350s come standard with a 6.2-liter V-8 engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. Ford offers its 6.7-liter turbo-diesel V-8 on all models for an $8595 premium. That extra money buys you greater towing capacity and a heavy-duty transmission. Ford F-350 Super Duty XL Regular Cab, $34,900: Like its F-250 stablemate, the base F-350 Super Duty comes with a single cab and an 8.0-foot bed. Single rear wheels are standard, but buyers can opt for a dualie for $1490 on rear-wheel-drive trucks and $1485 on four-wheel-drive models. Four-wheel drive will set buyers back $2800 for single- and $2795 for dual-wheel trucks. Power windows, power locks, and remote keyless entry are bundled in the Power Equipment group for $915.
