The all-new 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio has luxury compact crossover SUVs such as the Audi Q5 and the Porsche Macan in its sights. Thanks to a starting price of $42,990, the Stelvio is set for a clean shot, too, as the Italian stallion costs just $1140 more than the least expensive Q5 and a whopping $5560 less than the bottom-of-the-barrel Macan.
In its least expensive form, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio comes standard with 18-inch wheels, leather seating surfaces, a proximity key with remote start, a power-opening rear liftgate, and a 7.0-inch infotainment screen. An available $1800 Sport package brings 19-inch wheels, steering-column-mounted paddle shifters, aluminum interior accents, aluminum throttle and brake pedals, black exterior accents, and more. The option isn’t devoid of meat, though, as Alfa Romeo notes that Stelvios equipped with the Sport package also feature a specially tuned suspension setup.
Those seeking even more features will want to move up to the $44,990 Stelvio Ti. It comes standard with 19-inch wheels, wood interior trim, a bigger 8.8-inch infotainment screen, heated seats and steering wheel, and a front parking sensor. For $2500 more, Ti buyers can append either the Sport package or Lusso package of options.
