Acura NSX Buyers Can Get “Insider Experience” at Central Ohio Factory and Test Track
Acura is quite proud to claim that its new NSX is the only supercar built in the United States, at a special plant called the Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, Ohio. To give NSX owners an exclusive look at what goes on behind the scenes at this facility?and perhaps to drum up some tourism for central Ohio?Acura is introducing a new program called the NSX Insider Experience. Comprising factory tours, museum visits, and some track time at Honda’s proving grounds, the Insider Experience is open only to NSX buyers in the U.S., and it doesn’t come cheap, with various packages ranging from roughly $2000 up to $6800.
Of course, that probably won’t be too much of a burden to those who can afford the 2017 NSX, which starts at $157,800 and can easily top $200,000 with options. For that kind of money, it’s no surprise that Acura is coming up with more ways to customize the experience of each buyer, beyond the personalized videos and 1:18-scale models that are already included with the purchase of every NSX. The Insider Experience takes things a bit further by allowing buyers to track the build of their very own NSX as it moves through the production process. You can even place the Acura badge on your vehicle as part of the tour.
