Jeep is pulling out all the stops to celebrate the 80th anniversary of its brand. Highlights include special edition models across the lineup that are expected in showrooms this fall.

The special editions are a signal that Jeep has faith that U.S. car sales will rebound. Second-quarter 2020 sales were the lowest at any time since the Great Depression with industry analysts reporting a 30 percent drop overall. With that in mind, Jeep?s 27 percent drop between the second quarter of 2019 and 2020 was almost modest.

Expect a keen interest in these 2021 Jeep 80th Anniversary Editions based on the recent economic bump in new vehicle sales. Industry analysts told the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) that those sales began to rebound as early as April. ?It is really not doom and gloom,? Tyson Jominy, Vice President of data and analytics at J.D. Power explained to the WSJ. ?It?s pretty remarkable how quickly we?re actually rebounding.?
