2018 Jeep Wrangler’s Uncovered Face Comes into View: There Will Be LEDs
The 2018 Jeep Wrangler will have an eighth slat in its grille! Just kidding. The new Wrangler will keep its classic seven-slat grille, which we now know thanks to photos leaked from a dealer event that give us our first look at the four-by-four’s front end, completely naked and free from camouflage. In our years of publishing spy photos of the next-generation Wrangler, all have been prototypes strategically covered up to obscure their styling.
These images depict the lighting signatures of every Jeep model, front and rear. While the Renegade, Cherokee, and Grand Cherokee are familiar, the faces and tails of the 2018 Wrangler and a larger-than-Grand-Cherokee SUV (it’s the upcoming Grand Wagoneer model) are most definitely new. As we’ve suspected for some time, the Wrangler’s look is evolutionary, with a continued reliance on the seven-slat grille, a pair of round headlights, and square taillights flanking an externally mounted spare tire.
