2018 Detroit Auto Show Preview: Here?s What to Expect
Standing tall as North America’s most significant new-vehicle event, the annual Detroit auto show at Cobo Center (officially called NAIAS, for North American International Auto Show) in January is one of the biggest weeks of the year for the global auto industry. This year the press preview will take place January 14, 15, and 16, and we’ve rounded up a list of what’s in store. ACURA: Honda?s luxury brand has been teasing a new RDX crossover in the run-up to the Detroit show, and it?s shaping up to be significantly more interesting than the doughy, anonymous model currently in Acura showrooms. CHEVROLET: We?ve already seen the new Silverado 1500 in its specific Trailboss trim, but the full lineup will be shown for the first time at Cobo. Speculation continues to run rampant about the mid-engine C8 Corvette, but we’re not sure if that will happen this year?even in concept form?given that the C7 Corvette ZR1 is still so fresh.
