Subaru of America, Inc. recently announced some specs on the 2017 Outback Touring and Legacy Sport models. The Outback Touring is considered a flagship for the automaker while the Legacy Sport will feature styling specific to the trim.
Both models come standard with STARLINK, offering a host of navigation, safety, vehicle diagnostic, Bluetooth, and connectivity attributes.
In addition, both will unitize new technology to help mitigate a collision or accident while backing out of a driveway or tight parking space.

Subaru Outback Touring offers a 2.5-liter or 3.6-liter engine, with 175 and 256 horsepower respectively. Low profile roof rails with silver finish, woodgrain interior, piano black panel accents, and a dark gray grille complete the styling cues. Brilliant Brown is now on the exterior color palette while Jave Brown gets added to the interior leather, door panels, and armrests. A heated steering wheel is also standard.
Debuting on the 2017 Outback is Reverse Automatic Braking. Subaru employs four ultrasonic sonar sensors in the rear bumper cover and can automatically stop the car if a collision is imminent when backing. Other safety features include EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and High Beam Assist.
