2017 Nissan Titan and Titan XD Now Offered as Single-Cab Work Trucks
These days, four-door crew-cab pickups make up a plurality of truck sales, but there’s still room for two-door, single-cab models for fleet and work-truck buyers. So Nissan recently added a single-cab body style to the Titan and almost-heavy-duty Titan XD lineups, promising sales would kick off in the fall of 2016. Now that those Titans are on sale, we have prices for both models.
Opting for the two-door Titan saves $5200 relative to the crew cab, with a two-wheel-drive base “S” model coming in at $30,775. The only other trim level, the SV?a mid-level trim on the four-door Titan crew cab?starts at $33,655. Given the single-cab Titan’s positioning as a work truck, there are no fancier trims like those offered on the Titan crew cab. Every Titan single-cab model has an 8.0-foot bed, the longest bed length Nissan offers, as well as a 390-hp 5.6-liter V-8 and a seven-speed automatic transmission. Nissan ladles on more standard equipment than its competitors?including power windows, cruise control, cloth seats, and a 5.0-inch infotainment display?offsetting the Titan’s price premium of up to $1000 compared with an equivalent (long bed, two-wheel-drive, V-8?powered) Chevrolet Silverado, Ford F-150, or Ram 1500.
