This week, we have been driving the 2016 Volkswagen Beetle R-Line SEL, which is the upper trim model.

The Beetle lineup gets the latest Volkswagen touchscreen interface as a standard feature. Upper trims get VW Car-Net App-Connect (smartphone connectivity features). A new lighting package debuts and there are new colors for the 2016 Beetle. Features & Options
The 2016 Volkswagen Beetle R-Line SEL ($31,450) comes standard with a rearview camera, heated front seats, three-color ambient lighting, a 6.3-inch touchscreen, VW Car-Net smartphone integration, and satellite radio. The R-Line SEL upgrades feature 19-inch wheels, automatic bi-xenon headlights, LED running lights, leather upholstery, a Fender premium sound system, and the R-Line SE’s various performance and styling upgrades. This R-Line SEL came with the optional Tornado Red paint, Black leather interior, and 6-speed manual transmission, all at no extra charge.
Total MSRP including destination: $32,270.
