2016 Chevrolet Silverado Rally Edition Debuts, Realtree Edition Shown for Real
As it was before, so is it again?at least in the world of Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup-truck special edition models! For the refreshed 2016 Silverado, Chevrolet announced it will again offer buyers a so-called “Rally Edition.” The package includes either 20- or 22-inch black-painted wheels, hood and bodyside stripes, and more, and it (re-)joins the Silverado’s other special-edition packages, including the Midnight Edition and Realtree Edition on the truck’s option sheet. And speaking of the Realtree, Chevy released photographs of the real truck?not just a rendering?for the first time.
Having already covered the Silverado Realtree Edition (now we know what it looks like in the metal!), let’s get straight to the Rally, shall we" Pretty much like the previous Rally Edition, offered for the 2015 model year before the Silverado’s refresh for 2016, this one incorporates a sweet stripe package and contrasting black-colored accents. This time around, however, the door handles and mirrors are body-color, not painted black, and there are now stripes running from the front fenders to the tail. We dig the look, but then we’re also geeky fans of 1970s-era stripe packages that more often are considered interesting, not beautiful.
