The 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 will hit 100 mph in 10.6 seconds. Interestingly enough, that figure is a two-way street. Take the Shelby GT500 to 100 mph and apply the brakes. You’re back at zero again in 10.6 seconds. The 760-horsepower 5.2-liter supercharged V8 does the first part. The Brembo brakes do the other.

Pushing The Limits

Brembo brakes and performance cars are like Oreos and milk. It’s impossible to have one without the other. Brembo’s engineering and design teams often go to great lengths to match the braking system to the car in question. For example, Brembo developed a unique hybrid brake material for the 2019 Corvette ZR1 that withstands the higher temperatures caused by track driving.
