Guy Martin to ride 1000bhp Triumph Infor Rocket Streamliner at Bonneville, will try and break 605kph speed record

Later this month, IoM TT racer Guy Martin will switch paths, moving away from the tight confines of the Isle of Man to the open salt flats of Bonneville. And in place of his usual 220bhp litre-class superbike, he?ll be riding the purpose-built Triumph Infor Rocket Streamliner, which is powered by twin 2300cc three-cylinder engines (borrowed from the Triumph Rocket III), together producing an eye-opening 1000bhp. Cloud applications provider, Infor, and motorcycle clothing brand, Belstaff, are sponsoring Triumph?s shot at scooping the world landspeed record for streamlined motorcycles.
The Triumph Infor Rocket features Carbon-Kevlar monocoque construction with two turbocharged Rocket III engines producing a combined 1000bhp at 9,000rpm. This streamliner is 25.5 feet long, two feet wide and three feet tall. Powered by methanol fuel, the bike is competing in the Division C (streamlined motorcycle) category at Bonneville.
Triumph have great history at the Bonneville Salt Flat and record-breaking Triumph streamliners of the past include legendary machines like the Devil's Arrow, Texas Cee-gar, the Dudek and the Gyronaut X1.
