2017 MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR unveiled at the EICMA

MV Agusta have unveiled the new Brutale 800 RR at the EICMA, in Milan. The bike features an updated, Euro 4-compliant 798cc three-cylinder engine that produces 140 horsepower and 86Nm of torque. MV claim ?exceptional? levels of refinement for the new RR, with a 50% reduction in NVH compared to the previous model. New/updated bits on the Brutale RR include a harmonic damper, a new mechanical cam-chain tensioner, new camshafts, new valve guides, new countershaft, starter motor and primary gear drive. The changes are aimed at enhancing power delivery, reducing noise and improving long-term reliability.
The new Brutale 800 RR, which weighs 175 kilos, also gets new 17-inch forged alloy wheels and updated MVICS electronics, including a full ride-by-wire throttle and 8-level traction control system. The bike is equipped with an on-board diagnostics (OBD) system, which keeps track of the machine?s various electronics and electronic sub-systems. There?s a new steering damper with eight levels of adjustment, fully adjustable 43mm Marzocchiinverted forks with gold-anodized aluminum stanchions at front, and fully adjustable Sachs monoshock at the back. Brembo brakes, with twin 320mm brake discs and radial-mount 4-piston calipers at front, 220mm brake disc at the rear and Bosch 9 Plus ABS complete the package.
