For 2017, the Moto Guzzi V7 III range gets a bit more power, some mechanical updates and new colours. We still love the V7 Racer - it's just super cool. Brilliant, despite being a bit down on bhp!
The first Moto Guzzi V7 was launched back in 1967 and this year, MG are celebrating the V7's 50th anniversary with the updated-for-2017 V7 III. The V7 III range still includes the Stone, Special and Racer versions, though all have undergone some cosmetic and mechanical revisions, and a new version - the Anniversario - a limited edition variant (only 750 units will be produced) has been added to the range.
The Moto Guzzi V7 III range is powered by MG's updated 744cc transverse V-twin, which is now Euro 4-compliant and produces 52bhp and 60Nm of torque. The double-cradle steel tube chassis gets additional reinforcement at the front and features revised steering geometry for improved handling and stability, while suspension comprises of a 40mm telescopic fork at the front and preload-adjustable Kayaba twin shocks at the back. (The V7 III Racer gets fully adjustable Öhlins shocks at the rear.) Single 320mm brake disc with 4-piston Brembo caliper at front and 260mm disc at the back handle stopping duties, and there's 2-channel Continental ABS and even Guzzi's MGCT traction control system for added peace of mind.
