2017 Kawasaki ZX-10RR, H2 Carbon unveiled at Intermot
The 2017 Kawasaki ZX-10RR, hugely powerful, massively capable
To take on Honda's all-new Fireblade SP2 and Suzuki's all-new GSX-R1000R, Kawasaki have unveiled the new ZX-10RR at the Intermot, in Cologne, Germany. With production limited to just 500 units, the ZX-10RR features a modified cylinder head that's ready to accept racing camshafts, a new crankcase arrangement made more durable for racing and the kit part accessory option of adjustable head pipe and rear pivot point. There's also lightweight Marchesini forged aluminium wheels, Brembo M50 brake calipers and uprated braking package, and an electronic quick-shifter that works on both upshifts and downshifts. Lastly, there's the 'RR' logo on the right side engine cover and Kawasaki Racing Team's black-and-white 'Winter Test' livery, which we think looks pretty cool.
Matched to the impressive Showa balanced free front fork, the horizontal back-link, BFRC lite gas-charged shock with piggyback reservoir offers a wide range of adjustability to suit any road or racetrack environment. The ZX-10RR is also equipped with an IMU offering six degrees of machine attitude measurement and bits like sports traction control, electronic engine brake control, launch control, intelligent anti-lock brakes and Kawasaki?s KCMF cornering management function, which according to the company ensures that riders hit their chosen apex every time.
