2017 BMW S1000RR, S1000R, S1000XR unveiled at the Intermot
The 2017 BMW S1000RR gets updated electronics, while the S1000R and S1000XR get a bit more power and new colours. All engines are now Euro 4-compliant
BMW have unveiled their new, updated-for-2017 S series bikes, including the S1000RR, S1000R and S1000XR. Starting with S1000RR, the machine now gets a Euro 4-compliant engine, dynamic traction control (DTC) as standard fitment and ABS Pro as an optional extra. Single seat (with cover for the passenger seat) is now standard, while a ?passenger package? is offered as a free option. New colour schemes are available, which you can see in the pics above.
The BMW S1000R super-naked/streetfighter also now conforms to Euro 4 emissions norms, while power output has been increased from 160bhp to 165bhp. The S1000R loses 2kg and now weighs 205 kilos, while an HP titanium silencer is now standard and makes the bike sound better than ever before.The bike?s multifunction instrument cluster comes with improved readability and includes outdoor temperature display, while the fairing has been further trimmed down for improved aesthetics. Forged alloy wheels, 2.4kg lighter than the hoops used last year, are also now standard, while the list of optional extras includes ABS Pro, HP Shift Assistant Pro and Design Option wheels with red rim lines. New colour options are available, which you see in the pics on this page.
