The 2016 KTM 1290 Super Duke R special edition. We love this bike so much...
For 2016, KTM are upgrading the 1290 Super Duke R, giving it an Akrapovi? titanium exhaust, wave type brake discs, stiffer triple clamps, adjustable clutch and brake levers, and a redesigned seat for improved ergonomics. The bike also gets a fantastic new paintjob/graphics, and a smattering of orange anodized aluminium and carbonfibre bits that really make the bike look super-cool.

In terms of performance, the 1290 Super Duke R remains at the top of the supernaked streetfighter segment, with 173 horsepower and 144Nm of torque from its 1301cc liquid-cooled 8-valve DOHC V-twin. Weighing in at 189 kilos, the Super Duke R boasts a power to weight ratio of almost 1:1, which means it pretty much sets the performance benchmark for its segment.
KTM say that this limited edition 2016 Super Duke 1290 R will only be available for a limited period of time and if we had money in the bank, we'd go out and get ours now!
