Petrol models join Caddy & Caravelle range
Volkswagen is now selling the latest versions of its Caddy Life and Caddy panel van LCVs with a petrol engine.
The two fourth-generation Caddy models are available with two versions of the 1.2 TSI petrol unit, of 83 or 101bhp and both matched to a five-speed manual gearbox, or a 1.4-litre version of 123bhp with either the six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG gearbox.
Meanwhile the Caravelle SE short-wheelbase MPV model can also now be supplied with two petrol power options, a 2.0 148bhp six-speed manual or a 2.0 201bhp seven-speed DSG.
Prices start from £13,610 (excluding VAT) for the 1.2 TSI 83bhp five-speed Caddy panel van Startline, from £15,110 for the Caddy Life with the same engine/gearbox combination, and from £28,950 for the 2.0 TSI 147bhp six-speed manual Caravelle SE short wheelbase. The new petrol variants come with the same range of equipment as their diesel siblings, including a colour infotainment system with DAB radio, Bluetooth, and Post-Collision Braking system, and an options list ranging across such features as High Beam Assist, City Emergency Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control.
