New De Tomaso P72 Unveiled in Signature Blue
Alejandro de Tomaso was 29 years old when he decided to leave his homeland. Argentina didn’t have many new sports cars for sale, so he opened a small shop in Modena in 1959. To distinguish his cars from other Italians, he decided to use the colors of the Argentine flag for the racing models and for the company’s logo.
Despite Ford ending their contract in 1975, he kept building the Pantera until 1992. Most buyers who opted for the Pantera L (Luxury) opted for Blue, and it was nearly mandatory on all Panteras built to race. We’re glad the new De Tomaso P72 is preserving the brand’s history.
Argentine blue with a big Ford V8 and manual transmission. It doesn’t get any better than this. Driving a vintage De Tomaso is addictive, so click the link below to find yours!
