When soldiers came home from the war, they wanted to drive the trucks that helped win the war. Before Pearl Harbor, Dodge was the exclusive supplier to the U.S. Army, and their blend of Art Deco style and rugged construction culminated in the classic Power Wagon. While the name would be resurrected in the following years, 1947 was the last year for the WD Series pickup.

This stunning example is a 1-ton Long Bed powered by the 230 six-cylinder. The 133″ wheelbase and 4WD also make for a formidable work truck. That’s why so many Power Wagons were forced to work in the hardest conditions. From municipal fleets to the Forest Service, Power Wagons were found in the toughest situations. Up until the 1980’s, many Power Wagons were still on the job, but foreign competition and oxidation dealt them serious blows.
With original parts long gone, restoring this truck was a labor of love. The stainless gas tank, bumpers, vinyl seat, door panels, and the oak bed were made by hand. The grille moldings are exact reproductions, and the chrome trim rings are very hard to find. Fully loaded with both mirrors, turn signals, and stainless windshield trim, this Power Wagon has been waiting for you.
