Fiat’s new Tipo opens up space
Fiat will put its new Tipo hatch and Station Wagon range on UK sale in September.
The completely new generation of the five-door hatch and estate models are being marketed primarily on their interior space, Fiat claiming best-in-class legroom and plentiful headroom, and that three six-foot plus adults can be accommodated in the rear seats.
The new hatch is 4.37m long, 1.79m wide and 1.5m tall, with a 440-litre boot also claimed as class-leading.

The petrol units are a 1.4-litre of 94bhp, a 1.4-litre T-Jet turbo with 119bhp and a 109bhp 1.6-litre e-TroQ unit, only available with a six-speed torque convertor auto transmission.
Diesel buyers will have a choice of the 1.3-litre Multijet II of 94bhp and the 1.6 Multijet II turbodiesel of 119bhp. This is offered with either a six-speed manual or Fiat?s new DDCT six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
