Few clues yet to Vauxhall’s GT concept
Perhaps the 2013 Frankfurt reveal, the Monza, might offer clues as to the look of the GT Concept…
Vauxhall/Opel will launch a new sports car concept at the Geneva Motor Show on 1st March.
No clues as to the format of the GT Concept, as the model is being called, or whether it previews a potential production model are currently being offered, apart from an indication that it is likely to be very different to current product in the Vauxhall/Opel line-up.
A newly-released 20-second teaser video does not feature the car but merely shows Opel head Dr Karl-Thomas Neumann saying ?Take a look at Opel with a fresh pair of eyes? with the camera zooming in to show a vibrant red wheel in Dr Neumann?s eye.
The car is believed to be a two-seater, and industry speculation suggests it could take styling elements from the coupe-like four-seat Monza concept that was unveiled at the Frankfurt show in 2013. …or might it look like the Buick Avista revealed this week in Detroit"
However GM sister brand Buick unveiled a new aggressively-styled concept called the Avista at the Detroit show this week, and it is thought that this too could hold a clue as to the look of the Concept GT.
More information is expected on 21st January when Vauxhall is promising to reveal the ?outstanding, pure design of the GT concept? in a new video.
