CV Show ? Iveco makes Daily news
The global debut of the Daily Euro-6 range heads the biggest CV Show display yet from Italian manufacturer Iveco.
Major updates to the Daily range that won the International Van of the Year award in 2015 include, as the name suggests, Euro 6 emissions-compliant engines that also improve fuel economy by up to eight per cent over their predecessors.
The new four-cylinder engines are being offered in 2.3 and 3.0-litre capacities with power outputs up to 210hp and maximum torque of 347lbft. According to Iveco longer service intervals and more durable components will also cut repair and maintenance costs for operators.
Another key innovation showcased on Iveco’s stand at the National Exhibition Centre is the Daily Business Up smartphone app. This offers features designed to aid the van driver?s working day, including a driving style evaluation system, satellite navigation and an interactive user handbook for the vehicle. The unit can also provide a 24-hour, seven-day a week connection to the Iveco Assistance Non-Stop roadside rescue centre, and also alerts vehicle operators to upcoming scheduled services.
Iveco claims more range and more capacity for its latest Daily Electric.
Iveco is also using the show to premiere the latest version of its Daily Electric. Displayed in chassis-cab form, it debuts 30 years after the brand built its first electric vehicle.
