JL-ly Good Times: 2018 Jeep Wrangler Production to Start in November
Jeep fans know the countdown clock for the new Wrangler?code-named JL?is ticking. According to an unnamed dealer source cited by JLWrangler Forums, the 2018 Wrangler will roll off the Toledo assembly line in mid-November, although some variants won’t start production until months later.
The forum reports the four-door Unlimited V-6 hardtop will be the first out, followed by the Dual Top and softtop versions in December. Next up, in February, are the two-door V-6 hardtop and various versions of the 2.0-liter four-cylinder Unlimited. Softtop versions of the four-cylinder, in both body styles, start in March, at which point Jeep will stop building the current JK. A power top (possibly as both hard- and softtop) will be built starting in May 2018, with the diesel coming in August. A hybrid based on the V-6 will arrive later as a 2019 model.

None of these claimed production start times are confirmed by Fiat Chrysler, nor are they on-sale dates. They’re also subject to change. Fans who can?t wait to see the new Wrangler?s sleeker interior and largely same-looking body in person should book a flight to L.A., as the JL will be unveiled at the Los Angeles auto show this fall.
